Meg gets up right away, but Q is more reluctant.

Halloween was fun and eventful all month long! I wanted to do more, but i couldn't fit it all in, but my kids are happy with what they got, it was more then enough.
Other things worth mentioning that were awesome,
I got my first facial, oh my goodness, i am planning on going back every 6 months at least.
Yummy Magelbys for breakfast, I LOVE that place!
My college roommate came to visit, awesome!
Heber put up Christmas lights, but we wont turn them on until the appropriate time :)

I am so excited for Meg to start school again, probably more excited then she is. Today was her orientation where she got to meet her teacher and see her classroom and her cubby. Her new teacher is Miss Emily and she is in the same class room as she was last year so that will be nice, but she was really confused to have a different cubby then she did last year so hopefully she will catch on quickly to the new change.
Miss Emily was so nice and was really fun with the kids. She told me that all the other teacher were jealous when they found out that she had Majestic in her class, they all love the name Majestic. she said, I am the lucky one! I get Majestic!
I am so excited for this school year and excited for Meg to learn and grow. One of my favorite things is to pick Meg up from school go home and talk about her day before I start dinner. Another favorite thing is to get new school clothes! I gave meg her new clothes so she could pick something to wear today. She was so exited! Another thing I am looking forward to is the first day of school. Her first day of school I let her pick whatever she wants or dinner, (I am guessing she will pick pizza) She can pick whatever she wants, I can make it or we can get take out. I try to make her first day of school so special. She starts school next week so I will be posting more later.
I am also excited to get some one on one time with Scholar. I love getting to spend time with him alone. It will be so good. I cant wait for school to start, we will all get to learn and grow!

Yesterday, despite being sick, was a really great day! The kids and I watched movies all day and just snuggled. We started off the day watching Princess Diaries and then watched Parent Trap, the original. 2 really cute shows and we snuggled and rested all day. What a nice day off spent with the kids!

I am taking care of 2 sick kids today. Q has been throwing up all night and Meg went to the dentist to get cavities filled.
Q started getting sick yesterday at Heber's family's party. he threw up 3 times at grandmas house, 2 times in the car on the way home and 1 time in the bath tub when we got home and 1 time after he went to bed about 10. He has been sleeping all morning with a fever, poor thing.
Heber watched Q while I took Meg to her dentist appt this morning. She needed 2 cavities filled but ended up getting 4 filled! I feel like a horrible mother! She did really well at the dentist. She started off bad and the dentist asked me if I wanted to wait to do the 2nd one but i said just do it and then I told meg to chill out! in a nice way of course and then she calmed down and we were able to finish and were so proud of her. She did great!
The dentist told me that the nitrogen helps with asthma, it clears the airways, so I am hoping that it helped her.
I woke up feeling like Q looks today so hopefully I can take care of my kiddos and myself while Heber is on vacation at work! (just kidding, I know Heber works hard to provide for our family and he does a great job at what he does,we love him!)

Here are some of then things we have been doing lately.
Here is our little Scolly! He is destined for great things, He work his way out of anything, he is definatly a logical thinker. We started puting a gate on his door because he learned how to get out of his room at night. Day by day he learned how to work the system. Now he is either crawling under or going over, its hopeless!
Here is Meg and her cousins Gavin and Dax. They were watching a move and were so cute snuggled up in the middle of the couch, Meg really misses her cousins!
Here is Meg at a Primary activity for the Stake. It was a 24th of July Childrens Parade. Meg is still in nursery but we like to sneak her into primary things when we can, she cant wait to go to primary next year! She is the princess pioneer in the tutu.
Meg got to decorate her wagon for the parade, she wanted to pull it while q sat in it. It didnt work out that way, it was too heavy, so I pulled it and she danced around. It was alot of fun.
Here is her finished product. She decorated the wagon all by herself. She was so proud of her wagon.
Our garden is doing great this year, we picked a few peppers tomatillos. Meg loves to help out in the garden
Heber cut out eyes in this bag and Meg went around trying to scare us.
And probably the biggest thing of all Meg got a hair cut! She didnt want me to do her hair anymore and I was tired of all the tears. We love her new do, I think it fits her perfectly.

This last week has been so busy. Hebers sister KayCee was here from Vegas and we had so much fun! We took the kids to Chuck E Cheese's, Jump on It, Krispy Kreme, swimming in our pool, the park, and whatever else we could think of. I wore her out before her vacation even started! I even wore myself out and that can be a challenge. Meg and Dax loved to play together and Q and Gavin liked to take toys away from each other and Kellee was just cute. My kids got sick and then her kids got sick, We ate 6 doughnuts each and laughed a lot, it was great fun.
Then we followed KayCee to her parents house and we went to Logan to the Pepperidge Farm factory, Aggies Creamery for the blue mint ice cream, and the beach. Then shopping and swimming in Bountiful. Thanks Teresa for making this happen! It was really fun, and I guess I was having so much fun because I didnt get one picture.
We had fun and the kids had fun playing with their cousins. We had so much fun but we are so glad to be home.

This week we have had 2 sad things happen that I am still trying to wrap my mind around. Both were so unexpected and just broke my heart.
The first thing~ My hard drive died. So far, I have lost everything, my documents, my recipe book I have been making, my journal, my desktop icons, but most importantly my photos. I am just heart broken about these photos. Everything is gone, from birth to now, our life history is just gone. Heber is trying everything to get them copied over but so far has had no luck. It doesn't look hopeful.
The second thing~ Meg cut her hair. She was supposed to be in bed but obviously wasn't and chopped off her pony tail. its really short and right on top of her head. Any hair style that I do will not hide this. Right now I am debating on taking her to get it professionally cut to help blend it. But Meg LOVES her long hair, and so do I so I just don't know if I can do it.
So today I am just feeling down.

We love free fishing day! Once a year we go fishing and have so much fun. we haven't caught anything in the 3 years that we have gone, but we always have fun trying. The mosquitoes were biting with a vengeance. I was so glad I had long sleeves and a hood. Luckily they didn't bite the kids too much.
The kids each got a fishing poll. Meg's had a piece of yarn on it, and q's was just a stick. They were so cute with their polls, and nobody fell in, even though there were some close calls. This play ground was really cool. we went to Inlet Park in Saratoga Springs, it was great. They had a soccer game going on. 9 year old were playing. Once we were done fishing we headed over to watch the game. Meg got smacked in the face with the ball and it knocked her and her chair right over. She was so strong, she cried for less then a minute. She still wants to play soccer when she turns 4.

Every year since I can remember my family would go up to Lewiston on Memorial Day. We would first stop at the cemetery and put flowers on all the graves of people we knew, and then go to my grandpas house and hang out until lunch.
It used to be that we would all meet in this old theater building and do a pot-luck lunch, but our families grew and the space stayed the same size and it was time to move to a restaurant. We tried a few different restaurants but settled at the Golden Corral. We went to Golden Corral every year on memorial day would eat as a family and then go back to Bonnie and Heb's house and chat and catch up on life. We would see people who we would only see a few times a year, and others who we would see less then that. Most we would see that one time in the whole year.
My Grandpa died a 3 years ago. Since he past away, our family traditions have been demolished. They all surrounded him. It was for him that we would drive up sardine canyon and through all the lights in logan, and past that to the blinking light which was where to turn off the main street and continue to his house.
So, this memorial day, instead of seeing family and friends that live so far away, we are here in Orem with my little family trying to start traditions of our own.
We started the day with me doing my daily task of watering my plants. Here is a sneak peak of our yard transformation. I am not sure if I mentioned that we are getting it done because I want to wait until I have the before and after pictures to show what has been done. Hebers brother Joe is doing it for us and it is a HUGE blessing!
The only thing I have in the garden right now are tomato plants.
Here is a tree and some plants Joe planted. They look great!
You cant have Memorial day without a BBQ. I am proud to say that I grilled these burgers myself.
On Memorial day, you also have to have watermelon, corn on the cob, and Lemon aid. Its a must!
Lots of naps for everyone. Q decided he wasnt going to wait to be put down, he laid himself down and went to sleep all on his own.
We decided to take a trip to the Park, and of course enjoy some Popsicles before playing!
Heber tried to take both the kids down the side together. there were too many shoes!
The kids weren't the only ones playing!
Then we decided to keep the tradition of eating out and go to Sizzler. It was a great day!
